38-Hour Driver's Education Course
(15 - 17 Years of Age)
38-Hour Driver's Education Course for teenagers or 18-year-olds that are still enrolled in high school. This course is required the teenager to obtain a learner's permit or a license at 17 years of age.
Students will receive 30 hrs of classroom training and 8 hrs of behind-the-wheel training. He/she will also receive a defensive driving certificate (a $50) value. This certificate could possibly give a discount on auto insurance, depending on the insurance company. 30 hours of the class are set dates. The driving schedule is scheduled on a later date based on availability.
TIP Requirement!
Effective 09/04/2018, the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles implemented the Temporary Instructional Permit (TIP). All students enrolled in driver education will be required to obtain the TIP prior to the administration of the knowledge test, operation of a motor vehicle during on-road driving skills instruction, or an on-road driving skills test. In addition, the student must have the TIP in their possession when operating a motor vehicle during the behind-the-wheel portion of instruction and during the administration of a road skills test.
All students are required to obtain a Temporary Instructional Permit from a State DMV. (Can not be obtained at any private DMV) This TIP ID is required to be on hand for the student to take the written State exam and for all Driving sessions. The student cannot drive with the instructor unless it is on hand. The TIP does not all students to drive with parents or other licensed drivers.

Driving Sessions
Each of our Instructors obtains thorough training to ensure they provide quality instruction.
The 8 hours are separated into four separate days in 2-hour sessions, with a well-formulated curriculum:
- 1st day: Basic vehicle operation and maintenance, right turns, left turns, pedal control, reversing, driveway turnarounds, U-turns, 3-point turns, etc.
- 2nd day: Rural driving, road scanning, watching signs, maintaining speed, lane changes, various types of intersections, review of the first day, etc.
- 3rd day: City defensive driving, following distance, reading signs, parallel parking, incline/decline parking, parking tower, review of the second day, etc.
- 4th day: Interstate driving, acceleration/deceleration lanes, overall defensive driving, review of day third day, final evaluation
Safety
Student Safety is our TOP priority.
Each driver's ed car is well above state safety standards and equipped with live GPS tracking, surveillance cameras, and (AED) Automatic External Defibrillators all to ensure the safety of the students. All instructors are background-checked prior to hiring.

Graduated License Program
All applicants age 15 and 16 must participate in the graduate licensing program and must start with a learner’s permit. The applicant is authorized to drive with a licensed parent, guardian, or adult at least 21 years of age, or a licensed sibling at least 18 years of age or older. The applicant must pass a vision and knowledge test.
14-Hour Drivers Education Course
(Adults Only)
14-Hour Drivers Education course 18 years old and above. This course is required for all Adults wanting to obtain a driver's license.
